Project Description
Lilac Chocolate and Dates shop and cafe, has the challenge of being a multi-functional space, as it operates as a retail shop that exhibits the products of that specific brand, and provides a cafe seating area.
This heterogeneity of the program invited a contrasting aesthetic of neutrality, the space was designed as a free plan, with floating islands, challenging the traditional experience of frontality when viewing the products. Lighting design becomes an active component of the shop, as it fulfils its functional requirements and amplifies the island experience.
