The whole design idea originated from the traditional Mashrabiya Concept due to the special privacy needs of the client. The wooden Mashrabiya was replaced by a playful stone elevation where voids were created by shifting the stone courses allowing for visual glimpses of the busy street from the inside. Moreover, a double skin has been incorporated into the design with the stone Mashrabiyah as an external skin.
The L- shaped house opens up to a garden with an outdoor swimming pool directly accessible from the ground floor. The sleek design incorporates an underground racing cars workshop and a garage lit by a sunken garden.
